April 11, 2019, the Lok Sabha election 2019 (17th Lok Sabha Election) started. It will end on May 19, 2019. This time everyone in India is very excited in the election result. The last time, in 2014, BJP wins in the election and Narendra Modi selected as Prime Minister of India. Lok Sabha Election 2019 conducting as 7 stages in India. The first phase is started today. In the first phase includes 20 states such as Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jammu and Kashmir, Maharashtra, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Odisha, Sikkim, Telangana, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, West Bengal, Andaman, and Lakshadweep. And it conducted for 91 seats. In Kerala, Election conducting on April 23, 2019. Kerala included in the third phase of the Lok Sabha election 2019. Before that, check your name in Voter list. You can simply get to know if you are eligible to vote. Different options are available like SMS, Website and Mobile application etc.

How to Check Voters list

Check your name in Voters list by simply sending an SMS.

SMS <ECI> space < Voter ID card No> to 1950 .For example – If your Voters ID is 12345678 then send SMS ECI 12345678 to Voter Helpline 1950.

You can also call to (STD CODE) – 1950 to know your eligibility. Calling the Voter Helpline 1950 (please add your STD code before dialing). For more information Click Here

If you are in Kerala, you can get the voters list via the election Commission website Kerala – lsgelection.kerala.gov.in. Here you can see a form, here you just provide your District, Local body, Ward and Polling Station. Also the form will ask you to enter a captcha. Just fill the captcha field as shown in Figure. then submit it.

After submitting the form, you can see the voters list. The list contains Name, Guardian Name, House Number, House Name, Gender, Age, And election ID card number. A print option also available there to print.

How to register to vote

Every Indian Citizen above the age of 18 as of January 1, 2019 has the ability to vote in India. To register, you need to fill and submit an application ( Form 6) to Electoral Registration Officer in your constituency. After verification, the Electoral Registration Officer will order the inclusion of the voter in the electoral lists.

You can submit the Form 6 via online through Election Commission Website _ www.nvsp.in

For correction in entries, Submit Form 8 via www.nsvp.in
